How do you estimate the benefits of an investment in Data Quality before starting a project? Or how to measure the financial impact of what you are already doing? In other terms, how do i keep my organization motivated to work on the quality of our data? Questions almost every Data Quality Manager has to answer. We'll help you find a part of the answer and give you a jumpstart to build your own business case.
Last year we did a workshop about building a business case. Since the reactions were so positive, we extend the program by adding a number of customer cases.
Rebecca Saelens (Eandis):
"Eindelijk een workshop die écht over datakwaliteit gaat. Een gestructureerde, onderbouwde uiteenzetting met voldoende ruimte om ervaring uit te wisselen en sprekende voorbeelden uit de professionele wereld. Aanrader!"

Customer case 1:
Royal DSM is a global science-based company active in health, nutrition and materials. By connecting its unique competences in Life Sciences and Materials Sciences DSM is driving economic prosperity, environmental progress and social advances to create sustainable value for all stakeholders simultaneously.
In the setup of a global Financial Shared Services center to execute a large part of the core financial processes. In order to do this the center is relying on accurate master data within ERP systems of the different business units. To ensure this DSM has invested in monitoring of Data Quality of the critical master data. The implications of quality not up to par in the FSS center are significant as it causes disruptions in the process and it requires additional people to overcome these issues. Both have a negative impact on the business case. In the presentation I would like to share the reasoning, benefits and approach.
